Immunization With VAXXITEK® HVT+IBD Leads To Enhanced Production Of Final Poultry Industry Products, Chicken Meat And Eggs
This is a review of the articles published on VAXXITEK HVT+IBD in 2011. Use of the vaccine was shown to improve immune function, as monitored by investigation of humoral immunity and lymphocyte counts. An overall increase in chicken meat yield with a decrease in condemned carcasses and increased target organ weight was also observed in broilers vaccinated with the HVT-IBD vector vaccine, compared to other vaccines. An increased number of eggs per layer was recorded in pullets vaccinated with the HVTIBD vector vaccine, due to increased uniformity and improved body shape of pullets prior to lay.
